New Beginnings at Southwark
On Monday 4th October the Human Resources Department of the Archdiocese of Southwark held the first Staff Induction Day for nearly 2 years, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The session was run in the Amigo Hall and provided all new staff who had joined since December 2019 with an opportunity to learn more about how the Archdiocese works and to meet others doing similar jobs elsewhere within Southwark.
Presentations were made by a variety of diocesan agencies and commissions including the Chancery, Education, the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis, Finance, HR and Safeguarding to name a few. In addition, Fr Dermott O'Gorman, Assistant Priest, gave our new staff a tour of St George's Cathedral.
It was a busy, but informative day, which was made all the more interesting as Safeguarding also ran a concurrent MacMillan Coffee morning in the Amigo Hall, which raised over £220.
The presentations were filmed and these will shortly be made available to all staff. In the meantime, we warmly welcome all new employees to the Archdiocese of Southwark.
