The Promotion of Ecumenism in the Roman Catholic Church
The Southwark Christian Unity Commission will be hosting an online event looking at the new Ecumenical Vademecum, nourishing our ecumenical journey.
Fr Jan Nowotnik, Director of Mission and National Ecumenical Officer at the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, will introduce the recent important publication by the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, 'The Bishop and Christian Unity: An Ecumenical Vademecum' (you can view the publication here: Vademecum online).
The document offers recommendations to Roman Catholic bishops for promoting the involvement of dioceses in the ecumenical movement.
Everyone with an interest in the search for Christian unity is warmly invited. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.
